Disarming Charm (Expelliarmus)

Causes the target's wand to fly from their hand. With sufficient power behind it, a Disarming Charm may throw a victim back forcefully. Disarming Charms are mutually off-setting - when cast against eachother, they generally deflect. The Disarming Charm is also an effective counter to many spells.

Shielding Charm (Protego)

Creates a shield from the caster's wand which deflects jinxes, hexes, and curses. The strength of this spell is directly connected to the skill and talent of the wizard, and stronger versions can protect against very advanced curses - or even reflect failed jinxes back against the attacker.

Levitation Charm (Wingardium Leviosa)

A basic charm mainly used for instruction purposes that causes an object to levitate at the caster's discretion. Very skilled wizards sometimes find creative uses for it.

Hot Air Charm

Releases a jet of hot air from the end of the wand. Useful for drying clothes, melting snow, and other simple tasks.

Quidditch – Naturally, she would choose this. She's fine with being an alternate until she gets older. Would like to be a chaser.

Muggle Music – Her dad was into a Muggle band called Queen, so she thought all Muggle music was like that.

Personality:

Excitable - When it comes to things that Hebe loves, she becomes very ecstatic. Especially Quidditch. She loooves Quidditch and will love you more if you practice with her.

Good with Animals - She's grown up around different kinds of animals, and is especially good with cats and pet animals. She's a bit nervous around hippogriffs since she hasn't had the opportunity to learn how to deal with them, though.

Tidy - She can't really stand a messy place, so her bedroom area in the Gryffindor Common Room is always clean, and keeps her textbooks in alphabetical order. Sometimes she's organized other people's stuff without asking, though...

Brave - Though it's been hindered due to her almost-kidnapping, somewhere inside Hebe is a person who can and will fight back to save herself and the people she loves.

Cautious - Hebe can be cautious and a little scared around older guy strangers and even her male teachers. She mainly sticks to the people she knows and females her age. Or her cat.

Blunt - When she gets irritated enough, though, Hebe will snap and tell you exactly what is bothering her. That doesn't mean she's immune to repercussions and will cover up her feelings again, but she will eventually go back to her instincts.

Indulgent - Loves to eat, especially meat, and doesn't hesitate to get seconds during meals in the Great Hall.

Impatient - More of a hands on learner and doesn't really like staying still in class. Find it hard to study, or wait for her turn on anything.

History:

Hebe is the only daughter of a British witch named Rhea, and a Vietnamese wizard named Minh (though goes by Sebastian in Britain). She was born on the outskirts of a Muggle village called Cinderford, near a forest reserve. Her parents, who met working in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, decided that they wanted to raise hippogriffs and other smaller animals for a living instead.

Due to the danger of the job, Hebe wasn't allowed to go out to help much as a child, so she often played with a nearby magical family with a lot of boys. They often picked on her because she was short and looked a bit different, but she fought back and became good friends with them. They also got her into Quidditch, and once brought her to the World Cup. Since many of the kids in that family were older than her, her amount of playmates dwindled as she grew older and she stayed more at home, taking care of the smaller animals and other chores with their house elf. However, she still kept in touch with her old friends, and their stories about Hogwarts and the House Quidditch matches made her very eager to go to school as soon as possible.

When she was eleven, she got her invitation to Hogwarts and was totally excited when she was getting her new wand and school supplies. However, she got lost at one point. She was desperately looking for her parents when a strange man helped her out. Not knowing what to do, she blindly followed his directions and was eventually reunited with her parents. When she described the man to her parents and how he helped her, they scolded her for following him, because he probably could've kidnapped her. She protested, but she became scared of the memory of the strange man, and even as she went into Hogwarts, saw him in some of her nightmares.

To her and her parents' surprise, she got into Gryffindor. She didn't really understand how she could be brave anymore after almost being kidnapped, but she tried to fit in as much as possible, not wanting her old family friends to worry about her. She threw herself into learning more about Quidditch and doing school things, as well as making new friends. However, she became very cautious of older men and always advised others to follow the rules. As she stayed more in Hogwarts, she's started to loosen up a bit, but even as she starts her second year, she's still a little nervous...but something inside of her is just wanting to beat that guy's face in instead so that he would stop haunting her.
